The right method depends on the surface, alignment, access, ground and service specification. We assess the crossing before recommending the least disruptive practical approach.
Underbore when
The crossing is beneath a finished surface and a pit-to-pit method is suitable for the line, ground and access.
Trench when
A continuous route, precise grade, service corridor, pit or wider excavation scope is needed and open cut is the more practical method.

When is trenching better than underboring?
Trenching is usually considered where a continuous open route is required, grade is important, the ground is unsuitable for boring, or the broader excavation scope makes open cut more practical.
Can you trench for electrical conduit?
Yes. We prepare underground service routes for electrical conduit to the agreed project depth, cover, bedding and site requirements. Licensed electrical connection work remains with the electrician or ASP.
Do you handle reinstatement?
